I have absolutely zero idea with whats going on in the new video for Jamie XX’s Gosh.
Somehow:
The Eiffel Tower is in China (or China is taking over Paris)
Theres an impressive looking church/palace/something
Yoofs on VR
Some young uns doing synchronised walking
But it does have the best looking Impreza in there, the musics good and theres a very delicious continuous panning shot at 1:50 - so worth a watch.

Best looking impreza? I wasn’t aware that any Subarus don’t look terrible. sorry, I’ll see myself out.

Best looking out of a poor bunch!

No kidding. Ugh they all look awful. Like a bunch of cobbled together parts from random manufacturers. I’ve never heard one good thing about them except from people who currently own them. And even then it’s not all good. My GFs brother has one (same body style as the one pictured, wrx) he says it was his worst purchase bar none. Breaks down every other week.

Are you nuts? The WRX automotive ruined me by its awesomeness. nothing else with compare. (at least in that price range) IT was ugly but you forgot about that the second you hit the accelerator.

I think china built a replica, its not the real Eiffel tower. What a weird video.

I mean I’m all for ugly cars with acceleration (I just bought a mk viii for crying out loud) but flat engines are meant for rear engine configurations. Like I said, I’ve never heard one good thing about a subaru except from a current owner. I suppose now would be the first time that rule was broken.

The original that came out a year or so ago was pretty good

(former owner) selling that car was a massively sad day. I had it for about 2 yrs. my wife needed a new car so we sold that for a minivan, we sold her Escape for the Allroad.
The WRX had great seats. I usually can;t sit for more than an hour or two without needing to stretch (i have a rod in my back) but I made it 3 1.2 hours to NH. The cornering was unreal. The grip was literally unbelievable. I was making a quick turn in the rain from a stop, and got no slip. all I could think is how is this thing doing this right now. It had plenty of room for camping gear. I could fit 2 car seats in the back.

Well I mean it was awd so I’d hope the cornering and grip was great ;)
Idk. between the looks, the reputation (of the typical owners), the overall layout and build quality, I just can’t get into them. If you want awd the s4 (I’m not a VAG fan in general) costs the same now that depreciation has set in, and if awd doesn’t matter there’s many other choices. I also can’t stand the sound the flat four makes. Everything about the wrx irritates me tbh. Don’t take it personally, I just really, REALLY, don’t like them.

Also, why the rod in your back?

not everyone has to like every car. But that doesn’t mean its not good. If your worried about reliability, I used S4 probably isn;t the direction to go. I wanted AWD (which removed the FoST from consideration) to deal with all the snow - the second winter I had it was the winter Boston got like 5000' of snow. the rod in my back is from Scoliosis.

Well with what I’ve heard about the turbo flat fours I can’t imagine it being any worse than the s4. (Sans the one that needed timing chain tensioner updates, yet the engine was backwards. That is just nuts) I’m sure we could go back and forth on this all day but I like your all road much better, and Id trust an all road more than the wrx.
Scoliosis is bullshit. I’m about 2 inches shorter than I should be because of it. Back problems suck.

I’m always comparing the two. The Allroad is definitely more practical as its bigger, and its nice having the option for the higher ride, but then again you have to deal with the air ride which is becoming an issue for me. I want to check my spark plugs but its a 2 hour process just to gain access to them which I think is the same for the WRX. I dont think either engine is easy to work on but i never got to that point with the WRX.. The inside of the Allroad in fancy, but I still think the WRX was more comfortable.
I get sore before rainstorms and if i sit for too long or stand for too long. They were saying the way my back was progressing that it would start pinching nerves and it would start to effect some pretty important thing like all my organs....

Well I don’t envy working on an audi all road, that’s for sure. Though the flat-front engined configuration can make some normally easy tasks difficult (like spark plugs).
I’ve never noticed if I get sore before rainstorms (I didn’t even know that was a thing) but I’ll be watching for it now. I actually haven’t seen a doctor in about 6 years now. I have some pretty bad stomach issues (I’ll spare you the deets) and from the start of middle school, to my Junior year of high school went to the doctor about twice a month. They didn’t solve anything at all so I suppose I’ve been kind of sore and stubborn about the whole doctor thing. (They also put me on Prozac at age 13 [which is now illegal to prescribe to anyone under 18] which really pisses me off now that I’m old enough to reflect, and prescribed my sister two different medications which ultimately led to an untimely death, due to different doctors not communicating prescriptions, which is a whole ‘nother story. Needless to say I trust doctors about as far as I can throw them.)

wow all that stuff is pretty fucked up. I’ve actually replaced the the rear air bags but there is something different going on now,I’m starting to think its the comtroller.
https://www.arnottindustries.com/part_AUDI_yid1…
that also doesn;t include the actual strut. I’d love to do this but I feel like as soon as I dump $2000 into the air ride the turbos are going to self destruct out of jealousy.

Yowza. Have you considered a coil over conversion? I’m considering it now for the new Lincoln but the air ride can do some really cool stuff. And that’s on a lincoln. I imagine the audis air ride has some neat features too.

Whats the air ride on the lincoln like? I have 4 push button settings. I think with the coilovers you can adjust them, but its a manual setting at the strut. I dont really want to do the coilovers. I feel like that makes it more of just a lifted A6 avant.

Yeah air ride is great when it works right. I know on the Lincoln you can assign ride heights/stiffness to the memory seats which I think is awesome considering I’ll be sharing it with my gf. I also know you can turn it off completely. Other than that I know nothing as I’ve driven the car twice so far, and once was just moving it around in the driveway.
